It’s almost lacrosse season and nothing signifies this more than the releasing of the spring schedule. Familiar foes and a national powerhouse highlight the 2017 schedule for the Fort Lewis men’s lacrosse team. The 12 game spring slate features a three game swing through California, rivalry weekend with Northern Colorado and Metro State visiting Durango, and the usual strong competition as the Skyhawks look to win a RMLC Championship.

Among the competition this year is national powerhouse, Concordia-Irvine, who finished last season ranked #4 in the MCLA and perennial contenders Cal-State Fullerton.

“It is going to be a very exciting season. There are some really good teams on our schedule and we look forward to being able to compete against them.” Head Coach Tom Mudrak said. “We get two of the best teams in the country right off the bat. You can’t ask for anything better than that.”

The four game home slate is highlighted by the late March visits from Northern Colorado and Metro State. Last season, the Skyhawks were narrowly defeated by Metro State to be denied the RMLC South Division Championship.

The Skyhawks will open the season against Wyoming at Durango High School. All other home games will be played at the Smith Complex on the campus of Fort Lewis College.
