About The Team

CU-D

Welcome to the OFFICIAL HOME OF THE FORT LEWIS COLLEGE SKYHAWKS MEN’S LACROSSE CLUB.  We are a competitive club program with a rich history built on a diverse public liberal arts spirit and a vision of bringing a lacrosse championship to Colorado’s campus in the sky.

Fort Lewis College sits on a mesa overlooking the City of Durango and the 13,000-foot peaks of the La Plata Mountains. The college’s distinctive architecture of custom-chiseled sandstone reflects the heritage of the Southwest Colorado’s prehistoric Pueblo Indians, whose ancient pueblo ruins can be found throughout the region.  Fort Lewis College’s 100 year history of existence on historic Southern Ute land helps to inspire our team with a unique perspective in playing a truly Native American sport.  The history and the view from our fields are both awe-inspiring.

The Fort Lewis Lacrosse Club was established in the early 1980’s. Since the clubs formation, the sport of lacrosse in Colorado and the FLC team has experienced significant growth. As part of the 213 team Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA), FortLax has carved out a place as one of Division II’s perennial contenders.  2022 marks the Skyhawks 21st year competing in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC).

We look forward to new players and fans always. For this, or any other information about the Fort Lewis Lacrosse Club, email Coach Tom Mudrak at btmudrak@fortlewis.edu or fortlewiscollegelacrosse@gmail.com.
