DURANGO – Another alumni weekend is in the books, with the current roster of Skyhawks defeating the alumni 14-12 on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Durango.
The ‘old guys’ were well represented with notable alumni such as Dan Riecks, John Robinette, and newly elected FLC Men’s Lacrosse Hall of Famers Nick Wallen and Garrett Swartzendruber on the field.
However, new comers Tristen Emory and Cullen Robinette were unstoppable at attack to power the Skyhawks to the win, in a game which featured multiple lead changes and neither team leading by more than three goals.
The weekend had increased significance for the program as we celebrated former player and coach John Robinette, who is retiring from coaching this year after leading both Fort Lewis College, Durango High School, and the youth programs here in Durango for the past 15 years.
