DURANGO – The Fort Lewis College men’s lacrosse team dropped both home games this weekend to #12 Northern Arizona 19-5 Friday night and Metro State 20-6 on Sunday.
Scott Dimmit led the way on the stat sheet scoring 4 goals against Metro State, a season high for the senior midfielder. Sophomore Zach Majewski recorded a hat trick against NAU, a season high as well for the Chicago native.
Freshman Chase Ribble also found the back of the net for the Skyhawks, scoring twice against Metro State.
Injuries have been stacking up for the already short roster the Skyhawks are sponsoring this year. “Losing Easton on Friday certainly hurt, with three other guys out with injuries, it certainly made some tough games even tougher.” Coach Mudrak said.
“A lot of guys really stepped up though, Colin O’Gorman and Scott Dimmit showed why they are our captains. They never stop fighting, and I can’t say enough about both of those guys.”
The Skyhawks have one more road trip to end the season, with games at Northern Colorado and Colorado Mines on the weekend of April 20-21st.
