DURANGO – The Fort Lewis College men’s lacrosse team announced their 2018 spring schedule. Coming off a 4-5 campaign in which the team lost in the semi-finals of the RMLC Tournament, the 2018 Skyhawks will look to once again compete for a conference championship against some of the toughest competition in the MCLA.
Like years past, the team will start the season on the road, taking a spring break trip to Montana, playing Weber State and Montana State out of the RMLC and the University of Montana out of the PNCLL.
They’ll follow that up with a rare March home game on Sunday the 18th against the Northern Colorado Bears.
Two consecutive weekends on the road await the Skyhawks to end March. FLC will travel to the University of Wyoming and Regis before facing Metro State in Denver on March 31st. They’ll play UC-Colorado Springs the following day.
April 7th and 8th will mark Senior weekend, as UC-Denver and Colorado School of Mines come down to Durango for a pair of home games for the Hawks.
Fort Lewis will close out the regular season on April 14th in Flagstaff, taking on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. The Hawks will look to revenge a 8-7 loss in 2017 in which NAU scored the winning goal in the final minute of the game.
The RMLC Championships will be held April 27-28th.
