Fort Lax will have a chance to claw their way into the national championship tournament with two wins next weekend in Grand Junction. First, they will have to avenge a loss against the #2 seed (#25 ranked nationally) Montana State Bobcats. MSU beat Fort Lewis 16-10 in Orem, UT earlier this season. The game will be Friday, May 2nd, at 10:00am on Walker Field Stadium (1100 North Ave, Grand Junction 81501) on the Colorado Mesa University campus. This will be the 3rd straight semifinal matchup for these two teams, with FLC winning the past two years.
A Fort Lewis win will earn a championship game rematch against the #1 seed (#21 nationally) UNC Bears or the #4 seed Colorado School of Mines Orediggers. The championship game is Saturday, May 3rd, at 4:00 pm and will also be held at Walker Field. The winner of the RMLC will receive an automatic-qualifier berth the the MCLA National Championships in Irvine, CA on May 12-17.
