Events, recruits highlight weekend celebrating the return of college lacrosse in Durango
Durango – Mark your calendars, Saturday, October 16th will serve host to the FLC men’s lacrosse alumni game, an annual tradition bringing back past Skyhawks to take on the current team in a scrimmage and celebration of the program.
But that’s not all…
A number of events will be going on over the weekend, including recruiting weekend for the program and a youth clinic Saturday before the alumni game to support local lacrosse. Per tradition, the festivities conclude Saturday with the post alumni game party and lunch.
“Alumni game weekend is always fun,” Coach Tom Mudrak said, “welcoming back old friends and bridging the generations with guys who played here 5,10, 20 years ago, I think the kids get a lot out of it, and sharing that with recruits and the kids in town who come out to the clinic before, it is great for Durango and the lacrosse community here.”
The team will also be inducting a new member into the FLC men’s lacrosse Hall of Fame.
