2021 Season Still in Limbo

DURANGO – Mid January would mark the first weeks of practice most years for the Fort Lewis College Men’s Lacrosse Team. Of course, nothing about the last 10 months has been normal.

To provide an update, Fort Lewis has opted to add an additional week onto winter break, in place of spring break, to shorten the semester in response to the covid pandemic, pushing the beginning of the semester to January 28. As of writing, club sports is still awaiting guidance from school administration for what type of season the lacrosse team will be able to pursue. The men’s lacrosse team will have a return to action plan in place, if the opportunity exists to field a team this year. In the meantime, students and coaches will be working behind the scenes to ensure we’re ready if officials deem it safe to play, and we fully expect to return in 2022 to full competition with a strong roster.

If you are interested in playing lacrosse at Fort Lewis College, fill out the recruiting questionnaire in the Recruiting tab.

We will post updates as we receive them. Thank you to all our fans for your support and we can’t wait to see you in person, if not this spring, then next.
