FLAGSTAFF – Fort Lewis closed out the season Saturday at #7 Northern Arizona University, falling 24-4 to the Lumberjacks.
Scott Dimmitt finished with all four goals for the Skyhawks, giving the junior 32 points on the season. The Skyhawks finish the season 1-7 and send off six seniors from the 2018 team.
After taking the initial 1-0 lead off a Dimmitt dodge, NAU was able to tie the game and score two more in the last couple minutes bringing the tally to 3-1 after the first quarter. From there, the Lumberjack defense took over stymying the Fort offense.
Connor Worrall had four shots along with Jacob Boyle. In net, Jake Yost finished with 12 saves and five groundballs.
