DENVER – The Skyhawks picked up their first win of the season Sunday, defeating Regis University 14-6 on the road.
Fort Lewis (1-2, 1-0) was led by junior attackman Scott Dimmit who put in six goals for the Skyhawks along with an assist. It is a career best for the captain. Besides Dimmit, a great effort was put in by the trio of Ethan Kurvolech, Connor Worrall, and Paul Palmer who each finished the game with two goals a piece.
Five of the Skyhawks goals were assisted, marking a season high for the Skyhawks. Dante Washington stepped in net for Fort Lewis and stopped 7 shots on the way to the win.
The Skyhawks face three division opponents over the next two weekends to determine who will make the RMLC Tournament. They’ll begin that stretch Saturday in Golden against Metro State.
