Back to School, Back to Work

School starts at Fort Lewis on September 2nd, and Fall Ball starts the following week.  The Skyhawks are looking to take the next step as a program and make the MCLA National Tournament this year.  The path is made slightly easier by the departure of rival Westminster college to RMLC Division 1, but the RMLC is full of talented teams, including newcomer Johnson & Wales who will be sportng a talented class of recruits in their first year as a program.  The Fort managed a 2nd place conference finish, and appearances in the top 25 for DII, the past two seasons.  Only losses to Westminster kept them from a berth in Nationals.  This season, the national tournament moves to Southern California at UC Irvine and Chapman University.  The sights are set, can the Skyhawks rise to the challenge?

Highlights for the fall schedule include a trip to Northern Colorado at the end of September, a trip to local rival Adams State, and the annual Alumni Hall of Fame Game,  Competition for starting spots should be fierce, so stay tuned for the roster updates on, as well schedule updates and regular stories right here on  Go SKYHAWKS!
